The proposed development for the Cedar – Kettner Site is a mixed-use rental residential project that aims to enhance the Little Italy neighborhood with vibrant pedestrian-friendly uses while providing diverse housing opportunities for mixed incomes. Little Italy is a highly walkable community that has many neighborhood scale retail and service establishments and easy access to public transportation. The design concept and development plan for Mezzo – Little Italy is composed of five main components. The first is the accommodation of parking for County employees. The development aims to provide four levels of below grade parking to serve both the project’s residents and the County. There will be approximately 613 spaces provided with 500 allocated for County employees.
