- America’s Next Top Model (San Diego). San Diego Metropolitan Magazine featured the clothing line of Ron Stuart of San Diego and Los Angeles. The ad is titled "Dressing San Diego’s Best and Brightest" and included Founding Principal Joseph Martinez among the distinguished gentlemen modeling the latest attire.

- ULI Conference (San Antonio). Founding Principal Tony Cutri spoke at the Spring Conference where his presentation focused on transit-oriented design with a case study on the MorenaVista Housing Project.
- May
- The Mark (San Diego). Construction started on this 33 story luxury condominium at 8th Avenue and Market Street. The $85 million project is slated for completion in March 2007.
- July
- The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Design Forum (Pittsburgh, PA). Founding Principal Tony Cutri was invited by The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust to participate in a Design Forum entitled "Shaping the Future". The mission focused on determining the design parti for a critical precinct of their downtown core slated for high density, mixed use residential.

- Azul (National City). This 22-story, 300 unit mixed use housing project proceeded to the next phase of schematic design. National City Community Development approved the Owner Participation Agreement. Construction is expected to start in 2007.
- September
- Logan Heights Library (San Diego). The new library project broke ground this month for the Increment 1 (parking). Concurrently, Increment 3 (Relocation of Portable Classrooms) by the school district began this month to make space available for the Increment 2 (library building and additional parking area) construction to begin in early 2006. In addition, the San Diego Arts and Culture Commission approved the public art piece for the library created by Roberto Salas.

- Architects Drawing a New Downtown Landscape (San Diego). San Diego Metropolitan Magazine featured a full color spread of Founding Principal Tony Cutri. The article examined Cortez Blu and the way it represents a growing trend in using residential high rises to define city skylines. The article also mentions The Mark as a project that will lend itself to the changing landscape of downtown.

- California Rural Legal Assistance (San Diego). Joseph Martinez, founding principal, was bestowed The Jessie de la Cruz Lifetime Community Service Award for more than 40 years of dedication to the Latino community. In his acceptance speech, attended by more than four hundred guest, Mr. Martinez praised the work of CRLA and mission of providing advocacy to low-income families.

- Lane Field Design Competition (San Diego). The San Diego Port Authority has awarded Federal-Viejas LLC an Exclusive Negotiating Agreement to plan, design and construct a waterfront development consisting of a 27-story JW Marriott Hotel, a 16-story Ritz-Carlton Hotel, a 12-story suites Hotel, a 14-story, 200,000 GSF office building, an 8-story parking structure for 1,500 cars, and a two birth Cruise Terminal at the B Street Pier. M+C will service as the executive architects/architects of record for the entire project with B&A handling the cruise terminal project. The $600 million project is scheduled to start construction in 2008.

- Friends of San Diego Architecture. Joseph Martinez, M+C Partner, lectured on "Aesthetics in a Multi-cultural Society" at the New School of Architecture.
- April
- The B Street Pier (San Diego). The Port Authority has selected M+C along with Bermello-Ajamil to provide a Feasibility Study for a new cruise terminal at the B Street Pier.
- Urban Land Institute. Anthony Cutri, M+C Partner, delivers keynote address at ULI conference in New Orleans, LA relating to the City Heights Urban Village
- May
- First 5 Commission. The Logan Heights Library, City of San Diego, is the recipient from the F5C for a One Million Dollar prize for the new library scheduled to start construction in 2005.
- Cortez Blu (San Diego) – Real estate developer K. Hovannian breaks ground on 22-story luxury condominium in downtown with Turner serving as general contractor.
- American Institute of Architects. DOMA (mixed-use residential) wins San Diego Chapter, American Institute of Architects Citation for design excellence. The jury cited the project architectural and urban design innovations.
- M+C receives “Guitara de Cristal” from the Mariachi Foundation. M+C was honored at the Eighth Annual Gala for their contribution to the foundation and commitment to the students of the Sweetwater Union High School District.

- The Juhl (Las Vegas) - City Mark Development Company wins competition for luxury high rise condominium in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada.
- October
- Grand Central Plaza (Las Vegas) – M+C selected to provide master planning services for a 1.1 million mixed-used development containing a 400-guestroom hotel and a 300-unit residential tower.

- January
- Fenton Technology Park Design Review (San Diego) - M+C has been retained to serve as the Design Review Committee for this new technology center in Kearny Mesa.
- March
- St. Augustine High School Expansion (San Diego) - M+C selected to provide Master Planning services for this 9-12 high school.
- Village 7 High School (Chula Vista) – M+C has been selected by the Board of Trustee of the Sweetwater Union High School District to plan and design a new 9-12 comprehensive high school for 2,400 students.

- The Mark by Douglas Wilson Company (San Diego) - Real estate developer Douglas Wilson selected M+C to design their second tower is San Diego. The 33-story luxury condominium, sited on a full city block, will contain 253 residential units.
- July
- Cortez Blu by K. Hovannian Companies (San Diego) – Real estate developer K. Hovannian selected M+C to design their first tower is San Diego. The 20-story luxury condominium, sited on a quarter acre lot, will contain 67 residential units.

- Hyatt Regency Hotel Expansion (San Diego). The new 4-star, 33-story convention headquarters’ hotel was completed on schedule and within budget.

- Bosque de las Araucarias (Tijuana, Mexico) - The Governor of Baja California Norte selects developer for new Tijuana Convention Center. The development will contain 10,000 sq. m of exhibition space and other related uses.
- M2i by City Mark Development (San Diego) – M+C has been selected to design a full block mixed-use housing development containing 236 luxury condominiums.

- The B Street Pier (San Diego). The Port Authority has selected M+C along with Bermello-Ajamil to provide a Market Study for a new cruise terminal at the B Street Pier.

- The New Lincoln High School (San Diego) – M+C has been selected by the Board of Trustee of the San Diego Unified School District to plan and design a new 9-12 comprehensive high school for 2,800 students.

- Reynosa Casino (Mexico) - M+C has been selected to provide initial design services for a new 1,500 sq. m gaming facility
- March
- Thunderbird Casinos in Panama, Medellin and Venezuela - M+C has been selected to provide prototype initial design for a new 1,500 sq. m gaming facility for Latin America.

- Logan Heights Library (San Diego) - The firm has been selected by the City of San Diego to design a new 25,000 square foot joint use library with San Diego Unified School District.

- Southwestern College Master Plan (Otay Mesa) - The firm has been selected to plan a 38-acre site for its first satellite campus which will ultimately enroll 10,000 students.

- Montefaro, Country Club Housing (La Jolla) – The firm has been selected to design a premiere luxury residential condominium overlooking the village of La Jolla and the Pacific Ocean.
- Hyatt Regency Expansion (San Diego). Manchester Resorts breaks ground for the new 33-story, four-star luxury hotel.

- Otay Rancho High School (Chula Vista) – M+C has been selected by the Board of Trustee of the Sweetwater Union High School District to plan and design a new 9-12 comprehensive high school for 2,400 students.

- Spring Valley Library, Gymnasium and Teen Center (Spring Valley) – The County of San Diego has selected the firm to design a new 25,000 square foot multi-purpose complex.
- June
- Eastlake Middle School (Chula Vista) – M+C has been selected by the Board of Trustee of the Sweetwater Union High School District to plan and design a new 7-8 school for 1,400 students.
- July
- Sweetwater Union High School District Master Plan Study (Chula Vista) – The firm has been selected to provide initial master plan studies for ten high school sites, nine middle/junior high school sites, and two adult ed sites.
